Q: How did you come up with a plot for your novel, A Kiss for Emily?

A:  It took me a few false starts to create Emily and Sam, the stars of the book. But once I found them, the words just flew onto the paper. Emily is a typical (?) 17-yr. old teen who is happy with life. Then the book starts. Sam is the 20-yr. old taboo boyfriend, holding a huge secret.
I still remember my first crush, and dating nightmares. Plus, I have two girls that provide great inspiration. I've taken my (our) best experiences and thought of worst possible, but "real-life" outcomes for these experiences. The result has been an emotional thrill.
