Tom Edward, the Cat

My cat is an avid hunter. No mouse is safe within a quarter mile radius of our house. Quite regularly, a dead  mouse (with its head chewed off) can be found just outside the door, a proud symbol of Tom's great hunting skills. I didn't realize just how efficient our cat was until October blew in and the Halloween decorations came out. Tom seemed quite at home with the furniture covered in fake cobwebs, black crows adorning high places, and small paper mice taped to the bottoms of our walls. Then one evening, when Tom was home alone, I returned to find one of the paper mice torn from the wall, laying in the middle of the carpet, with its head chewed off!
